Flood Warning issued June 9 at 8:24PM CDT until June 12 at 7:42PM CDT by NWS Topeka KS
…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas…
Smoky Hill River at Enterprise affecting Dickinson County.
* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…Smoky Hill River at Enterprise.
* WHEN…Until Friday evening.
* IMPACTS…At 21.0 feet, Low land agricultural flooding occurs from
near Enterprise to near Junction City.
At 26.0 feet, Valley north of the Kansas Highway 43 bridge on the
north side of Enterprise floods.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:45 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 26.7 feet.
– Forecast…The river will fall below flood stage late tonight
to 23.6 feet tomorrow evening. It will then rise above flood
stage late Thursday morning to 26.7 feet early Friday
morning. It will fall below flood stage again Friday morning.
– Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
