Maple River at Maple Rapids affecting Clinton County.

Portage River near Vicksburg affecting Kalamazoo County.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Red Cedar River at East Lansing.

* WHEN…Until late Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 8.0 feet, The Potter Park Zoo parking lot in Lansing
begins to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 11:30 AM EDT Monday the stage was 8.1 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 6.0 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:30 AM EDT Monday was 8.1 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 8.1
feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late
Wednesday evening.
– Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
8.1 feet on 05/19/1945.
