Flood Advisory issued July 14 at 6:27PM CDT until July 14 at 9:30PM CDT by NWS Birmingham AL
* WHAT…Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE…A portion of central Alabama, including the following
counties, Fayette and Tuscaloosa.
* WHEN…Until 930 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 627 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Fayette, Berry, Bankston, Fayette County Public Lake, Stone
Wall, Richard Arthur Field, Bevill State College Fayette and
New Lexington.
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
