Flood Advisory issued July 5 at 5:51PM CDT until July 5 at 9:00PM CDT by NWS Louisville KY
* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE…Portions of central and south central Kentucky, including
the following counties, in central Kentucky, Ohio. In south
central Kentucky, Butler.
* WHEN…Until 900 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 551 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of
rain have fallen.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Beaver Dam, Rockport, Prentiss, Simmons, Nineteen, Ken Wye,
Scottown, Cromwell and Rob Roy.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
