Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued July 3 at 2:47PM MDT until July 3 at 3:00PM MDT by NWS Rapid City SD
At 247 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 5 miles north of
Osage, or 17 miles northwest of Newcastle, moving east at 10 mph.
HAZARD…Quarter size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Damage to vehicles is expected.
This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
Northeastern Weston County, north of Osage
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing large hail.
This storm is producing large quantities of hail. Driving through
deep hail is like driving on slushy roads. Slow down and do not brake
suddenly.
