[UPDATE] Severe Thunderstorm Warning

Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 18 at 12:37PM CDT until June 18 at 12:45PM CDT by NWS New Orleans LA

At 1237 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 8 miles north of Vancleave to near Waveland, moving
east at 20 mph.

HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include…
Gulfport, Biloxi, St. Martin, D’iberville, Latimer, Gulf Hills, and
Vancleave.

This includes the following Interstates…
Interstate 10 in Mississippi between mile markers 39 and 50.
Interstate 110 in Mississippi between mile markers 2 and 4.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 500 PM CDT for southern
Mississippi.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
