Special Weather Statement issued June 15 at 3:05PM EDT by NWS Tallahassee FL
At 304 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 9 miles west of Sparks to near Hahira to near
Mayday. Movement was east at 25 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include…
Lakeland, Adel, Moultrie, Valdosta, Hahira, Sparks, Ray City, Moody
Air Force Base, Meigs, Berlin, Cecil, Ellenton, Reed Bingham State
Park, Barretts, New Lois, Greggs, Hansell, Allenville, Teeterville,
and Naylor.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
