High Wind Warning issued February 16 at 12:25PM CST until February 17 at 7:00PM CST by NWS Amarillo TX
* WHAT…Southwest winds 35 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph
possible.
* WHERE…Portions of the Panhandle of Oklahoma and the Panhandle of
Texas.
* WHEN…From 11 AM to 7 PM CST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS…Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Strong winds may also produce blowing dust,
which could cause a sudden drop in visibility.
Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and
avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution
if you must drive.
