Dense Fog Advisory issued February 15 at 1:52PM CST until February 15 at 10:00PM CST by NWS Duluth MN

* WHAT…For the Dense Fog Advisory, dense fog will reduce
visibility to 1 NM or less. For the Gale Watch, east winds 25
to 35 kt with gusts up to 45 kt possible.

* WHERE…Duluth MN to Port Wing WI, Port Wing to Sand Island
WI, Oak Point to Saxon Harbor WI and Outer Apostle Islands
Beyond 5 NM from Mainland.

* WHEN…For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 10 PM CST this
evening. For the Gale Watch, from Tuesday afternoon through
Wednesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…Strong winds can cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Low
visibility will make navigation difficult.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Wind gusts will be strongest Tuesday
evening into Wednesday morning.

Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible
hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter
course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and waves.

If you must navigate, proceed with caution. Use proper fog
signals. Make sure all running lights are on. Remember to use
your radar and compass.
