Dense Fog Advisory issued February 15 at 1:52PM CST until February 15 at 10:00PM CST by NWS Duluth MN

* WHAT…For the Dense Fog Advisory, dense fog will reduce
visibility to 1/4 to 1/2 NM. For the Gale Watch, east winds 25
to 35 kt with gusts of 40 to 50 kt possible.

* WHERE…Grand Portage to Grand Marais MN and Grand Marais to
Taconite Harbor MN.

* WHEN…For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 10 PM CST this
evening. For the Gale Watch, from Tuesday afternoon through
late Wednesday night.

* IMPACTS…Strong winds can cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Low
visibility will make navigation difficult.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…There is a 30 percent chance for storm
force gusts of 50 kt possible for the North Shore Tuesday
evening into Wednesday morning. If wind forecasts continue to
trend upwards, a Storm Watch may be needed.

Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible
hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter
course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and waves.

If you must navigate, proceed with caution. Use proper fog
signals. Make sure all running lights are on. Remember to use
your radar and compass.
