The National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for…
Maricopa County in south central Arizona…
* Until 100 AM MST.
* At 1021 PM MST, At 1018 PPM MST, trained weather spotters reported
flooding along Interstate 17 and Happy Valley Road. Thunderstorms
producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2
inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to
1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing
or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD…Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.
SOURCE…Trained spotters reported.
IMPACT…Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Phoenix, Glendale, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, New River, Cave
Creek, Carefree, Desert Ridge Marketplace, Deer Valley Airport,
Scottsdale Airport and Anthem.
Instructions:
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
